Description

Lisa Nandy MP is UK Shadow Cabinet Minister for International Development and Labour MP for Wigan. She has held a number of key roles in Labour’s Shadow Cabinet and is the author of the 2022 book All In: How To Build a Britain That Works, an argument for rethinking Britain’s domestic politics and economy and its global role.

Lisa joins ODI Chief Executive Sara Pantuliano to discuss how Britain’s global development strategy can best support economic growth, jobs and prosperity in lower income countries and how we make sure the urgency of climate action does not undermine this. They also discuss how Britain can build more respectful partnerships and what these might look like in practice.

Lisa and Sara are joined by an in-person audience of about 100 G7, G20 and G77 diplomats, representatives of international institutions, leaders from the iNGO sector and civil society organisations, think-tanks and prominent development aid thinkers and experts, at ODI's London hub.
