Dr. Clare Richardson-Barlow is a Research Fellow in Business Models for Carbon Removal & Industrial Decarbonisation at the University of Leeds. She is also an instructor in East Asian Studies at the School of Languages, Cultures & Societies at the University. Her current research examines industrial decarbonisation from a political economy perspective and the roles of business models in advancing greenhouse gas removal technology. Clare is an interdisciplinary social scientist whose research and teaching explores energy policy, political economy, and energy governance and energy transitions. Clare has over 10 years’ experience researching and working as a political economist with a focus on energy transitions and climate compatible development in East Asia, Europe, and North America.
