This report presents the findings of research into the risks to rural water supply posed by climate change and environmental degradation in Ethiopia, and what can be done about them. The focus is on low cost, groundwater-dependent hand dug wells and springs that are potentially vulnerable to climate-related risks, and which form a key component of Ethiopia’s One WASH1 National Programme.
The research was commissioned by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Government of Finland.
