Description

ICRC Humanitarium, Geneva | 15:30 - 17:00 GMT+02

Welcome refreshments will be available from 15:00 before the event begins.

The Ebola response illuminated serious flaws within the global humanitarian system. Early warnings were dismissed and even when recognised as a global health emergency, it was months before the response matched the scale of the crisis.

Held at the ICRC Humanitarium in Geneva, this event will launch new HPG research, which uses the Ebola response to analyse deep-set problems with how international aid works.

Building on discussions at the World Humanitarian Summit Global Consultation, speakers will examine fundamental issues with the humanitarian system to avoid similar failings in the future.
