Description
Sharp declines in commodity prices and rapid capital outflows in 2015 have created a tough economic environment for low-income developing countries (LIDCs). This joint ODI-IMF event examines the outlook for 2016 and policy options to keep growth on track, presenting the latest research from the IMF.
The discussion examines the varied impact of the current economic situation across LIDCs as well as IMF’s commitments to the 2030 Development Agenda. What role will the latter play in helping LIDCs during these testing times – with climate change and conflict also affecting many of the poorest states?
