SINERGIA is the Government of Colombia's monitoring and evaluation unit. Established in 1994, it is one of the oldest evaluation units in the world. It tracks the implementation and performance of key government policies and programmes, and works to strengthen the culture of monitoring, evaluation and learning in Colombia and across wider Latin America.
This publication presents key facts about the unit, how it was established, how it has evolved and how it works today. It is part of a series on global evidence policy units, published by the Knowledge Sector Initiative in Indonesia.
