Description
The world of work is changing, yet many gender gaps remain stubbornly in place. Persistent challenges include unequal pay, occupational segregation and women’s concentration in the most precarious roles in the informal economy, as well as widespread undervaluation and unequal distribution of unpaid work between men and women.
Labour market shifts in the years to come may exacerbate these challenges or present new ones. Yet they may also present opportunities to improve gender equality and women’s economic rights.
In this ODI Bites, our experts discuss how to ensure the future of work is bright for women.
ODI Bites is our new series set on giving you big ideas, easy to digest. These series of online conversations, feature leading ODI experts exploring dynamic new research, thought leadership, and responses to global challenges.
