Description
The All Parliamentary Group on Overseas Development (Apgood), The Royal Africa Society (RAS) and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) will host the UK launch of the African Economic Outlook (AEO) 2013.
The African Economic Outlook (AEO) 2013 thematic chapter will analyse the patterns and underlying drivers of structural change in Africa in greater detail and place a special emphasis on the role of natural resources and economic diversification in this process.
The AEO is a joint annual report from the Africa Development Bank (AfDB), the OECD Development Centre, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). It presents a comprehensive analysis of the economic, social and political developments in the region including in-depth country notes on 53 of the continent’s 54 economies, a macroeconomic overview, and a special study on the promotion of youth employment.
