​As countries seek to make progress on climate finance, there is consensus on the need to find better ways to monitor and report on delivery, recipients, and outcomes in a spirit of mutual accountability. As the UNFCCC COP19 got underway in Warsaw, the Overseas Development Institute and the World Resources Institute hosted a dinner discussion on options for strengthening the transparency of climate finance. The discussion reflected on the practices of both contributor and recipient countries. It focused on the particular opportunities for the UNFCCC to support improved monitoring and transparency of climate finance.
