On Monday 17th November, ODI hosted China’s Special Representative for African Affairs Ambassador Zhong Jianhua for an exclusive event chaired by Kevin Watkins, with Zhenbo Hou as a discussant. Ambassador Zhong Jianhua discussed his own experiences in South Sudan and South Africa, whilst offering some thoughts on the relevance of the Chinese model for Africa.
