Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2016 – this edition of the UN ESCAP Survey argues that the next phase of the region’s economic growth should be driven by broad-based productivity gains and further rebalancing towards domestic and regional demand. This would require higher and targeted fiscal spending, enhanced skills, better infrastructure, and improved agricultural productivity. Country-level briefing notes are also provided. Regional road map for implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific – this document, released in advance of the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development 2016, proposes a road map for regional cooperation for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific, structured along eight priority action areas and a phased approach.

Who is being left behind in Asia? – this ODI report focuses on Bangladesh and Vietnam as case study countries to take the first step towards implementing the ‘leave no one behind’ agenda – that of identifying marginalised groups and the outcome gaps relating to key SDGs indicators they face.
Third session of the Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development – convened by UN ESCAP in Bangkok from 3 to 5 April 2016. The Asia Pacific Forum for Sustainable Development is the main inter-governmental forum on SDGs in Asia Pacific and its deliberations feed into the High Level Political Forum (which will be organised in July 2016 in New York). The report highlights the regional priorities for the implementation of the SDGs in Asia Pacific

From agreement to action: delivering the Sustainable Development Goals
Description
The SDGs are an ambitious agenda. Early actions taken by government, civil society and the private sector are critical in setting the foundation for success or failure in the years to come. Achieving the goals will require the involvement of a wide range of actors; it is therefore important that different voices weigh in on key priorities moving forward.
A set of regional dialogues taking place across Africa, Asia and Latin America seek to bring together researchers and policy-makers to identify and discuss SDG priority actions for effective implementation at national, regional and global scales. Each of the regional dialogues will bring together development thinkers and decision-makers for two days in an interactive setting. The dialogues:
Convene a select group of actors who can build a platform to champion SDG implementation and maintain momentum and a sense of urgency within their respective countries and across the region;
Generate ideas on concrete actions that will catalyse early action and help avoid the slow start on implementation that plagued the MDGs;
Pooled knowledge and substantive evidence on integrated approaches to SDGs implementation - ideas/actions that take into account the social, economic and environmental dimensions of the goals - and what the principle of 'leave no one behind' means in practice for the region.
