Description

As global and national attention has turned to delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), what role can regions play in securing their achievement? And what early actions are needed to kick-start progress?

During the High Level Political Forum, and following a series of regional dialogues hosted in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America over the past 3 months, a panel of global experts discussed the importance of ‘regional thinking’ on the SDGs, cross-country collaboration on the targets, and the need for integrated and innovative approaches that deliver the early progress needed to ensure the achievement of the SDGs by 2030.

This event was co-hosted by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), Southern Voice on Post-MDG International Development Goals, the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research (KIPRRA), the Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA) and Centro de Pensamiento Estratégico Internacional (CEPEI).
