Biographies 

Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director of Oxfam International, is a world-renowned women’s rights leader and a global authority on economic inequality. At Oxfam she leads a confederation of 20 civil society organisations working in more than 90 countries worldwide empowering people to create a future that is secure, just, and free from poverty. Ms Byanyima currently chairs the World Economic Forum’s Regional Strategy Group for Africa and is a member of the World Bank Group's Advisory Council on Gender and Development. She recently served on the Global Commission on the Future of Work established by the International Labour Organization, on the United Nations High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment and on the Gender Equality Advisory Council for Canada’s G7 Presidency.

Sara Pantuliano is Acting Executive Director at ODI. She is a member of the Global Future Council on the Humanitarian System of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Managing Editor of Disasters Journal and a Trustee of IRIN news and SOS Sahel. She is also the Vice-Chair of the Board of Muslim Aid, and has served on a range of advisory boards, including Oxford University’s Refugees Studies Centre and the UN Association of the UK.
