Description
According to the UN, the Sahel, encompassing 10 states and home to approximately 300 million people is projected to face temperature increases of 1.5 times higher than the global average. A deeper understanding of the role of communities building their own resilience to climate change and the ecosystems they depend on is fundamental. Continued research and increased advocacy efforts on resilience are crucial particularly with regards to local economic development.
ODI's BRACED Knowledge Manager consortium, in partnership with ENDA Energie bring together key experts and decision makers working in resilience to advance our understanding of what resilience means from the Sahelian perspective and what practical steps can be taken to contribute to achieving resilience in the Sahel.
