Alice is interested in exploring how high quality research and data can be better embedded in humanitarian practice to improve performance and accountability. She has extensive experience in qualitative research design and conceptual analysis across a variety of research topics in humanitarian action. Alice came to ALNAP from the Humanitarian Futures Programme, based at King’s College, London, where she led a 3-year project providing capacity building and technical support to the humanitarian directorate of the ECOWAS Commission. She earned her PhD in 2011 from the London School of Economics, working on the ethics and legitimacy of Non-Governmental Organisations and has worked as a consultant and researcher on accountability in global governance and international aid.
