Amina Khan is Senior Research Officer at the Growth, Poverty and Inequality Programme. As an international development policy researcher since 2009, she writes mainly on poverty and inclusive growth, urbanisation, data development in low and middle-income countries, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Prior to joining ODI, Amina served as Senior Research Fellow at the Mahbub ul Haq Human Development Centre, a think tank focused on human development challenges in South Asia. She holds an MSc in Foreign Service from Georgetown University with a specialisation in international development, and a BSc (with honours) in Economics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. She is a former Fulbright Scholar and is fluent in French, Urdu, Hindi and Bengali.
