
Paul Sayers
Paul has experience in real time forecasting and warning to long term climate adaptation, including providing leading contributions to the seminal Foresight Future Flooding studies in the UK and China, and most recently the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment, CCRA.
Paul’s international experience covers Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and North America. He has collaborated with National Development and Reform Commission and Swiss Aid on the Adapting to Climate Change in China (ACCC) programme, strategic green infrastructure planning with World Wildlife Fund China/UK, and long term adaptation planning in Ethiopia and Kenya, supported by the UK Space Agency.
Paul is also a Senior Visiting Fellow in the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. He is also a visiting researcher at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands. He is also an Associate of World Wildlife Fund UK, where he advises on strategic flood and drought issues.
Paul is on the Editorial Panel for the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management journal of Flood Risk Management.
