Stefan Thewissen

Research Fellow
Stefan's main areas of interest are inclusive growth, social protection and health, labour market issues, and political economy. His research includes studies on the consequences of the future of work on income and employment, universal health coverage and poverty, and intergenerational mobility.

Prior to joining ODI, Stefan was a postdoctoral researcher at Nuffield College and the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) at the University of Oxford. He has also worked as a visiting scholar at Oxford, Harvard, and the World Bank Development Research Group. Stefan has consulted for the OECD, World Bank, and the Global Fund.

Stefan holds a PhD in Economics from Leiden University.
