Aaron Bailey-Athias

Communications Officer
Aaron is a Communications Officer in the Research and Policy in Development (RAPID) programme, working mainly in two projects: Youth Forward and the DFID-ESRC Growth Research Programme. He has a MA degree in Media and International Development from UEA and years of experience in communications in the non-profit sector.

Prior to joining ODI, he was a Digital Communications Officer at UK health charity Brain & Spine Foundation and before then, a Communications Intern at UNDP’s International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth in Brasilia, Brazil.

His academic background in communications includes a BA in Journalism and a BTech in Graphic Design. He also has a master’s degree in Media and International Development from the University of East Anglia.

In the past, he has worked for The International Exchange, a social enterprise providing expert volunteer support to local NGOs and INGOs addressing a wide range of issues including youth employment, gender inequality as well as social and environmental projects.
