Our funding

ODI is an advocate for greater accountability and transparency in the international development sector, and we strive to reflect these values across our work.

About this information

The figures on this page are from ODI's 2017/18 financial accounts.

How are we funded?

ODI is supported by grants and donations from foundations, non-governmental organisations, the private sector, governments, multilateral agencies and academia.

Transparency

ODI is committed to transparency. We are currently updating our systems in order to be able publish data in a way that complies with the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) standard. Unless there is a real risk to safety or our work, we will publish information on all projects. This data will be available on the IATI registry, and we will publish it both as an XML file and in a more accessible, user-friendly format. For further information on our donors and projects, explore ODI's Transparency Portal (please note: this site is in beta, and currently includes just a sample of donors and projects).

Accountability

ODI is a registered charity, and is regulated by the Charity Commission and Companies House. You can view our most recent audited financial statements below. You can also find more detailed information on our finances and compliance history on the Charity Commission and Companies House websites.
