There is an expanding interest in developing methods, tools and frameworks to identify gaps in existing evidence and to develop new evidence gathering methodologies.

Our work, linked closely to that of the Research and Policy in Development Programme (RAPID) at ODI, looks at vanguard approaches to systemic reviews and policy synthesis methods as well as using and developing innovative tools for data collection and analysis, particularly with hard-to-reach and excluded groups.

We aim to develop the research capacity of our country partners and contribute to mutual learning between the Global North and South.
