Knowledge intermediaries and interactions

It is important to think strategically about how knowledge intermediaries function and the impact they can have.  RAPID’s work has helped convene an international dialogue which brings together organisations from both developed and developing countries to develop a common framework for action.

Knowledge intermediaries include researchers, networks, private-sector consultancies, communications officers, legislative committees, NGOs, universities and think tanks. Our focus is on how and why research is used in the policy cycle and how think tanks and other organisations can increase their influence in policy debates.
