ODI Research Fellow, Steve Wiggins, was commissioned by FAO to provide technical background material for the High-Level Expert Forum on "How to Feed the World in 2050" to be held at FAO, Rome, 12-13 October 2009 and produced a working paper entitled 'Can the small holder model deliver poverty reduction and food security for a rapidly growing population in Africa?'
