This project seeks to assist WFP in the preparation, facilitation and delivery of three WFP Consultations on humanitarian assistance and risks in Somalia.

The first two consultations will look at technical issues related to operations and risks in Somalia. More specifically, the first consultation will focus on the current operational procedures and principles applied by humanitarian actors active in Somalia. The second will examine risks and level of risk tolerance in different operational contexts. The outcomes of the first two consultations will serve as a basis for the third, a high-level consultation, which aims to conclude with a broad consensus on key areas of risk and joint action to mitigate such risks.

HPG's role in this consultation is advising the organisers on the process of the consultations.
