AusAID research for policy change
This project aims to help facilitate greater cross-fertilisation of ideas, information and practical lessons between Overseas Development Institute, the Australian Government Overseas Aid Programme (AusAID) and key AusAID development partners.
This project will strengthen RAPID programme's research for policy change in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region. It will also contribute to a research program on support for social inclusion and social protection in the informal economy and of vulnerable groups.
The objectives of the project are:
- To consolidate RAPID's existing collaboration in Southeast Asia and identify new collaborators in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region.
- To build capacity with AusAID and key development partners in the region on approaches to support evidence-informed policy development.
- To inform and strengthen social protection policy to contribute to reduced poverty and increased social inclusion amongst marginalised workers and the vulnerable in the informal community.
