This project will provide a rigorous evidence-based assessment of the current social protection system in Kazakhstan, focusing in particular on the effectiveness and efficiency of the universal non-contributory social and child welfare transfers and benefits.
This assessment will offer specific policy options and recommendations for improving the social protection system and in particular for better tailoring social assistance transfers and benefits to the current needs of children and their families in Kazakhstan.
