Youth and international development policy: prospects and challenges

This project aims to highlight the need for international development agencies to invest in youth and view their development policies through a youth-lens.

By bringing together evidence of how investment in young people can help meet existing and emerging development priorities, this research aims to explore why development agencies should invest in young people.

With the Beyond 2015 policy agenda on the horizon, this research seeks to not only identify the emerging development challenges to face young people over the next decade, but to also provide recommendations of policy and practice change in order to achieve positive change in the lives of young people in the Global South.

This research has been commissioned by Y Care International on behalf of the DFID/CSO Youth Working Group with support from Restless Development, War Child and Youth Business International.
