#AdaptDev: workshop series on adaptive management

A growing body of literature exists on the theory and practice of adaptive development and Doing Development Differently. What there is less of, however, are forums where people can deliberate on the challenges of implementation and how to resolve them. This workshop series, funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), responds to this.

Each workshop will address a common barrier to working differently. Through facilitated discussion, participants will develop possible solutions. We’ll hear from others with similar experiences, pooling our collective experiences, and developing a stronger community of practice.

The workshops are tailored to those that are actively dealing with the problems associated with working adaptively, have lessons to share from previous adaptive projects or are seeking to work in more adaptive ways in the future.

We are also planning on running accompanying webinars on similar topics for those who cannot attend UK-based events.

This series is part of LearnAdapt, a project that supports DFID and its partners to work in more adaptive and politically smart ways. If you are interested in leading a workshop or collaborating on a webinar, get in touch with us via [email protected].
