Directorate for a research and innovation hub on technology for education

June 2019 to March 2027

This programme aims to bend the curve of progress toward SDG4 on education, demonstrating how EdTech can transform education systems to improve teaching and learning, especially for marginalised children and young people.

It is the largest ever education technology research and innovation project, with core funding by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID).

Through research, innovation, and country engagement the project will lead to better understanding of the problems that EdTech can address, the factors that shape whether decision-makers successfully adopt and scale EdTech interventions and put in place the conditions that allow innovators to grow solutions to scale.
