This press release summarises the report of a working party. The report considers, in practical terms, Britain’s role in the Second UN Development Decade. The report is a sobering document. Although Britain has notable achievements in the development field, the working party claims that the country is ‘falling further behind [its] own standards and [...] international obligations than is widely realised or would be generally acceptable’.
