This pamphlet acts as a guide to the channels for church and individual investment in developing countries and to propose new channels and new institutions which could complement the existing framework. Said channels are there to meet the commitments outlined by various Christian conferences and institutions, namely that British churches should take the lead in creating an independent fund for the investment in the creation of wealth in developing countries by investing 5 per cent of their invested funds. In addition, all Christians should be asked by their churches to devolve 1 per cent of their personal income to this purpose.

Thus, by keeping themselves apart from government and private investment institutions in developing countries, church investors could channel the use of investment money with a moral purpose and therefore they would be especially trusted by recipients and appealing to many potential investors.
