This series of pamphlets explores the impact of fertilisers on development. It explains what fertilisers are and what they are made of and  examines both economic and social considerations. Moreover, it highlights the possible positive outcomes of a fertiliser programme and shows how fertilisers can be used to introduce other changes towards better farming.

This study is therefore directed not only to agricultural advisers and administrators, but also to people in related fields such as transport, finance, education and journalism.
