Sonia is the Programme Manager for the Supporting Economic Transformation (SET) Programme in the IEDG. See more below.

Prior to joining ODI she worked in the PwC Consulting International Development team, managing and supporting activities for several multi-million pound DFID programmes on impact investing and education. Other experience includes working in the United Nations Department for Economic & Social Affairs (DESA), working for NGOs in the UK and in the Netherlands, and in financial services. She holds a BSc in Economics from SOAS, University of London and an MSc in International Development from the University of Amsterdam. Research work for the SET Programme includes issues of youth employment, jobs and skills for inclusive economic transformation, specifically in the tourism sector in Nepal. Prior research experience includes service sector offshoring to Thailand, particularly medical services and tourism.
